At this conjunction I write
A reminder that creativity is sparked in the vast abyss of nothingness
Why do we write? Because humans are storytellers, and writing is a beautiful form of storytelling. And why do we tell stories?
To remember.
I’ve always been a writer. There is something so freeing yet grounding about writing words down that construct a narrative and allow you to remember the myriad of sentences that comprise your life story.
I write to remember specific conjunctions of my life. At this particular conjunction, I am experiencing a beautiful energy in Sedona, Arizona - one that feels familiar to the energy and environment needed to be able to create sentences and share my expression through writing.
Something I learned that I will never stop sharing is that creativity is born in stillness. Quiet. Solitude. Space. Sedona has an expansive, quiet, free roaming energy. One that might inspire one to get lost and explore the red rock trails for hours, or one that led me to wander with no plan throughout different shops in Sedona until I found one that felt right to settle down at.
I’ve found myself at a place called the Dragon’s Den, a quiet nook of a crystal and spiritual goods shop / peaceful lounge, where they are playing music from the 60s-80s. Banger after banger, my old soul is content and at peace here.
There was a sign right when I entered that said “You were guided here.” I sure was. I had been wandering through Sedona stores for three hours before I found this place which invited me to stay awhile with its comfortable couches and lovely atmosphere.
Mid-reading a copy of “Arizona Highways” from 1987, I felt inspired to write about this conjunction of point and time in my life.
Moral of this particular conjunction is: go to places your heart calls you to, slow down, wander, spend time alone, and get lost! You never know what kind of creative inspiration might be waiting for you just around the brink.
PS: Can you tell conjunction is my favorite word at this conjunction?
PPS: I cannot believe there are 60+ lovely humans subscribed to my blog! What a joy it is to get to write and share my inspirations and pieces of my Life Story with you all. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the next time creativity strikes.
